Misty L. Heggeness

As an economic researcher, I am fascinated by the behavior, interactions, and motivations of individuals in families, labor markets, and society. This site provides some background on my research interests, teaching philosophy, and project management experiences. I also share samplings of my opinion, editorial, and blog work.

Current obsessions: using big data to improve national statistics, identifying gender biases in survey response, and discovering old rusty boxes of data from the national archives to put to good use in social science research.
